Too much shorebreak at Llanrhystud, was OK when I arrived but by the time I rigged it turned horrible. So after Jon arrived we went round to Llanon. Shorebreak was less. First run out on 5m was easy to get out but then hit a bit wave and got taken out. Was rather overpowered so after a dazzling ride back in straight into the sun I switched to smaller board and 4.5m. This time I had more hassle getting through the shorebreak and the wind picked up so still a bit overpowered. Mainly a survival session with gusty wind and chunk waves and a downwind current. Struggled to get back upwind so a walk back on the rather stony beach.
